Replication Package for "Regional Divergence and House Prices" by Greg Howard and Jack Liebersohn Review of Economic Dynamics In this package, you will find the files and data that are required to reproduce the figures and tables in the paper, including the appendix. To replicate the entire package, run the master.do using Stata, with the current directory being set to this folder. The code was run in Stata/SE 17.0 using a Windows 10 desktop computer with 16 GB of RAM. It should be run with the current directory set to the folder that this file is in. It requires the folders "dofiles," "cleandata," "rawdata," and "exhibits," as well as the content that was already in "rawdata" when the replication package was downloaded. It runs in about 12 minutes. In /rawdata, the data is in its original form. In /cleandata, the data has been cleaned and is compiled into a few datasets that are then used to make the tables and figures. The folder /dofiles contains the do files that are called by the master.do. The folder /exhibits contains the tables and figures that are in the paper. The File "Replication Structure" contains a list of figures, including the dofile that creates each figure, and the datasets that are required to create it. It also contains a list of the files in /cleandata, and the dofiles that create each of those. It also contains a list of all the files in /rawdata that go into each dataset in /cleandata. We use a variety of sources for the rawdata. rawdata\bea This data comes from the Bureau of Economic Analysis.
