README file for "Rational Exuberance Booms"
This file accompanies other replication material 
for the paper "Rational Exuberance Booms" by Gene Ambrocio

Included files for replication are:
	1. REB_sim_main19.m
	2. modelsim19.m
	3. staticsol19.m
	4. dynamicsol19.m
	5. simplots19.m
	6. SPFevidence19.m
	7. reb_evidence.mat

The replication files require MatLab with the Econometrics and 
Statitistics Toolboxes to run. The code has been run using 
MatLab version R2017b on Windows 10.
	
To generate the Figures and Tables in the paper:
	First, run REB_sim_main19.m in MatLab
		Note that running the simulation takes a considerable
		amount of time at approximately 7.5 hours on a typical 
		notebook computer. 
		The seed for random number generators have been included 
		in the code.
		Note as well that the simulation output generates a
		large file (approx. 275 MB and is not included in 
		the replication material).
		This will generate Figure 3 and Table 4 as well as 		
		2 files: inforigid_mod.mat and momsim19.mat
	Second, run SPFevidence19.m
		This will generate Tables 1,3 and Table B.1 in the Appendix.
